Victory
Center creates opportunities and environments that assist people
in achieving their full potential and is designed for individuals
who have experienced serious and persistent mental illness, alcohol/drug
dependencies, and any other disabiling condition. The Victory Center
empowers individuals to improve the quality of his/her life and
move forward into recovery. Victory Center's method of encouraging
individuals in their process of recovery is through educational
classes. Classes include:

Values:

Individuals with psychiatric symptoms
and/or addiction can and do fully recover.
Hope is a crucial and essential element
for
the recovery process.
• Personal Responsibility
Each person is
the expert in his or her own life

responsible for their own recovery.
• Meaningful Roles
in Society Everyone
has the opportunity to successfully live in
their community and fully participate in
work, education, and society.
• Empowerment
Individuals who have been
diagnosed with mental illness and/or
addictions have the authority to take control
of their life and participate in all decisions
that will affect their lives.
• Non-Linear Recovery
is an individualistic
process that involves growth and setbacks,
learning from experience and periods of
rapid change and little change. Recovery is
not a step-by-step process.
Advocacy
Services help assist the individual in providing needed
advocacy, support, and referral to help enhance an individual's
participation, independence and life goals.
Career
Development Services: Job skills' classes teach individuals
how to obtain and maintain a job, helping to enhance their career
development.
Employment
Services: Job placement can occur after an individual expresses
an interest and is progressing toward the vocational plan. An employment
specialist helps the individual obtain and maintain a job within
the community. If needed, job coaching is provided including onsite
instruction and support.
Other Services:
The Victory Center works
cooperatively with therapists, case management, supported housing,
peer support centers, employment services, and psychiatric hospitals
to assist in maximizing an individual's potential to live independently
in the community and to make the most of their recovery process.
