Assessment
& Forensic Services assists children, adolescents and
adults who are self-referred, referred by treatment providers, or
referred by other community agencies.
Psychological
assessments help identify and clarify possible problem areas in
order determine appropriate diagnoses and recommendations.

Types of Assessment
• Diagnostic
Evaluations: Focus on assessing the
nature of an individual’s overall personality
and emotional functioning. Evaluations may
include pre-surgical evaluations, parenting
assessments, clinical assessments, and/or
capacity to give consent, etc.
• Educational Evaluations: Focus on intellectual
and academic functioning to identify learning
difficulties, giftedness and developmental
disabilities.
• Vocational Evaluations: Focus on helping
individuals make career choices through
career planning and development.
• Forensic Evaluations: Focus on evaluating
the
mental conditions of criminal defendants upon
referral from a local criminal court.
Evaluations may include competency to stand
trial, mental condition and diminished capacity.
• Personnel Evaluations: Focus on public safety
evaluations to include law enforcement and
emergency 911 certifications.
